Position Overview

The Associate Service Technician is responsible for shipping and receiving, assembly, quality control, product installation, troubleshooting, and repair. The position is based in the Las Vegas office. 

Essential Job Functions

Assembly and Preparation for Testing

  • Assemble and program servers
  • Pre-configure items to be sent into the field
  • Pull items to  assemble orders for field use
  • Pull inventory and prepare for product shipments
  • Pull inventory for installation work order and pack for holding or shipment
Quality Control and Testing
  • Program electronic assemblies from manufacturing
  • Perform final testing of electronic assemblies from manufacturing to be placed back into inventory
  • Conduct final quality control inspections
  • Ensure systems meet all compliance requirements before deployment
Service Technician Functions
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic equipment down to the component level
  • Consistently build positive rapport with clients and provide excellent customer service
  • Communicate information and state problems or challenges to be resolved in a clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders, investigating field complaints, troubleshooting, and resolving problems
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
  • Obtain information on a new product - documentation, instructions, training tools
  • Report and resolve product issues in the field
  • Report on product improvement suggestions based on feedback from the field
  • Up to 20% of travel required
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays and on on-call rotation for 24-hour service
Perform Other Duties as Assigned
  • Receive items from vendors and QA testing to enter inventory
  • Receive equipment and evaluate returns from field use to enter inventory
  • Perform regular inventory physical counts
  • Work with compliance for jurisdictional approvals related to shipping logistics
  • Help ensure all shipments meet regulatory and legal standards

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in troubleshooting electronics and mechanical assembly
  • Experience and familiarity with configuring networking equipment
  • Proficiency with programs in Microsoft Office and use of PC computers
  • Experience using a drill, router, and other various powered construction hand tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with stress effectively
  • Ability to exercise good judgment 
  • Ability to promptly respond to common inquiries, complaints, or requests from various internal and external parties in a professional manner
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret detailed, concise, and accurate documents, such as reports, policies, procedures, and correspondence
  • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate integrity and discretion
  • Valid Nevada driver's license and an excellent driving record
  • Ability to obtain gaming licenses in approved gaming jurisdictions

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in the assembly, testing, or troubleshooting of electronic devices required
  • Experience using ERP/CRM systems preferred
  • Inventory and warehouse management preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly use hands/fingers to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Ability to safely operate powered construction tools
  • Must frequently use close, color, peripheral, and depth vision
  • Frequently will need to reach with hands and arms, lift up to 75 pounds, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl or stand for periods of time
